Today ISRO will create history on Indian soil, the heaviest communication satellite CMS-03 will be launched.

New Delhi: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is going to create a new history today. In fact, at around 5.26 pm, the country’s heaviest communication satellite CMS-03 will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, the countdown for which has started. ISRO has shared information to this on Twitter.

Heaviest satellite to be installed in GTO

According to the report, the communication satellite CMS-03 weighing about 4410 kg will be the heaviest satellite to be installed in GTO from Indian soil. This satellite is to be launched through LVM3-M5 rocket. The LVM3-M5 rocket was named Baahubali in view of its heavy lifting capacity.

Will help in modernizing Navy’s network

Let us also tell you that CMS-03 is a multi-band communication satellite, which will provide various services in the country’s territory including the Indian Ocean Region. In particular it will help in modernizing the network of the Indian Navy. It is important for maritime surveillance, high-tech communication and strategic coordination. This launch will also reveal ISRO’s heavy-lift capability, which will make bigger missions possible in the future.

Fifth flight of LVM3-M5

ISRO said that this will be the 5th operational flight of the launch vehicle LVM3-M5 today at 5.26 pm. This time the launch vehicle LVM3-M5 will carry CMS-03, the heaviest communication satellite sent from India’s soil, into space.
