Wrong Habits in Nights: It is important to adopt good habits for good health. It is important to adopt certain habits while eating morning and dinner. It is always important to keep dinner light. We should not adopt certain habits after eating, otherwise our health may be harmed.
Actually, Ayurveda tells about some things which we should not do after having dinner at night. These bad habits cause harm to health.
To improve health, one should not adopt these bad habits at all.
1- Often many people go to lie down immediately after having dinner at night or start using mobile phones, due to which digestion gets disturbed. Actually, what happens is that lying down immediately after eating causes digestive juices to rise and the problem of gas, acidity or burning sensation starts.
2- Many times it happens that the blue light emitted by watching TV or mobile reduces the melatonin hormone, due to which one does not sleep properly.
3- You should not drink cold water immediately after eating food, it is harmful. It extinguishes the digestive fire, so it is better to drink lukewarm water.
4-If you consume alcohol after eating, it weakens the digestive system.
5-Many people take fruits or coffee-tea after eating food, but these also stop digestion and produce gas. Consuming coffee or tea after meals, the caffeine present in it spoils sleep and increases burning sensation in the stomach. It is also not good to do heavy exercise or yoga immediately after meals, because it puts pressure on the digestive organs.

If you want to improve your health then it is important to adopt good habits. Taking a light walk after eating food i.e. walking about 100 steps is considered best in Ayurveda. Apart from this, do not forget to clean your mouth after eating. It prevents bad breath and bacteria. Dinner should always be light, hot and easily digestible, like khichdi, moong dal or soup. Here, food should be finished at least two hours before sleeping so that digestion can take place properly.
