Jaipur. A heartbreaking news came out from Rajasthan's capital Jaipur on Monday afternoon. An uncontrolled dumper truck hit more than 10 vehicles in Loha Mandi area of Harmada police station area, causing chaos on the road. Eyewitnesses said that the brakes of the dumper suddenly failed and it collided with the vehicles running on the highway. Within a few seconds, a scene of death was created on the road - cars overturned, bikes bounced, people kept screaming buried under the debris. So far, more than 10 people have been confirmed dead, including an innocent child, while dozens of injured are admitted in hospitals. According to sources, this accident happened in Harmada area of Jaipur when a dumper truck was coming at high speed towards Loha Mandi. Suddenly his brakes failed, causing the driver to lose control. After this he continuously hit several vehicles, which included cars, autos and two-wheelers. After the collision, the dumper itself overturned and some vehicles got buried under it and became junk. The accident was so terrible that there was chaos in the surrounding area and people ran for help.
Immediately after the incident, local people informed the police and ambulance. Harmada police and SDRF team reached the spot and started the rescue operation. The injured have been admitted to SMS Hospital and nearby government hospitals. Officials said that "medical and rescue operations are still going on, so the death toll may increase further."

An eyewitness said, "The dumper was moving at such a high speed that the entire road shook as soon as it arrived. The sound of the collision was so loud that it seemed as if a bomb had exploded. People jumped out of their vehicles and started running away." After the collision, many vehicles were scattered on the road; the fire department was also called due to fear of some vehicles catching fire.

Jaipur Police said, "The cause of the accident is being investigated. The dumper owner and driver have been identified. A case has been registered against both."
