Outstanding Achievement in Badminton

Dharamshala — Meenakshi Gautam, the Principal of Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School, has proudly announced that student Priya has achieved significant success in the Under-14 Girls’ Badminton Tournament organized by the Himachal Pradesh Sports Association. This district-level event took place from October 11 to 13 at the Government Senior Secondary School, Bharmaad Jawali.


Priya excelled by securing first place at the district level, which led to her selection for the state-level tournament held at Government School Jubbal, Shimla. At the state competition, she showcased her skills and achieved the runner-up position, representing Kangra district with great pride.


Principal Gautam expressed her immense pride in Priya’s accomplishments, noting that her commitment and sportsmanship have brought honor to both the school and the region. She also expressed gratitude to Physical Education teachers Mr. Rajat and Mr. Kapil for their invaluable guidance and support in nurturing young athletes.


To celebrate Priya’s success, she was honored during the school’s morning assembly, where Principal Gautam encouraged fellow students to take inspiration from her journey. She highlighted the significance of discipline, perseverance, and mentorship in achieving excellence in both academics and sports.


This achievement not only underscores the emerging talent in school-level sports but also reflects the effectiveness of grassroots initiatives aimed at promoting physical education and competitive spirit among young girls in Himachal Pradesh.
