Air India flight coming from San Francisco to Delhi had to make emergency landing in Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar. Due to fear of technical fault in the flight, the pilot took this big decision. Air India informed on social media platform X that flight AI174 made a safe landing in Ulaanbaatar on 02 November. Now the technical team is busy investigating the aircraft. “We are providing all possible assistance to our passengers so that they can reach their destinations as soon as possible,” the airline said. However, no official information has been received yet about how many passengers were on board the flight.
India’s External Affairs Ministry has immediately swung into action to help the travelers stranded in Mongolia. The ministry is working closely with the local administration to transport the passengers to Delhi safely and quickly. Air India has also assured to take all possible steps for the convenience of passengers.
This is not the first time that an Air India flight has faced difficulties due to technical glitches. On October 17, the Air India flight coming from Milan, Italy to Delhi had to be canceled due to technical problem. At that time 256 passengers were brought to India through a special flight on October 19.
October 29: Dehradun-Bengaluru Indigo flight Indigo Airlines flight going from Dehradun to Bengaluru had to make emergency landing back at Dehradun airport due to technical fault. The flight remained in the air for 53 minutes and this situation occurred due to a bird hit. Fortunately, all 170 passengers on board the plane remained safe.
September 1: Pune-Delhi SpiceJet flight The SpiceJet flight going from Pune to Delhi had to make an emergency landing in Pune an hour after take-off due to a technical glitch. The flight took off at 6:40 am, but encountered a problem before reaching Delhi at 8:10 am.
25 August: Kazakhstan-Delhi flight Astana Airlines flight coming from Almaty, Kazakhstan to Delhi could not land in Delhi due to bad weather. Air traffic control diverted it towards Jaipur airport, where the flight landed safely at 11 am.
31 August: Delhi-Indore Air India flight An alert of fire was received in the right engine of Air India flight AI 2913 going from Delhi to Indore shortly after take-off. The pilot immediately switched off the engine and landed the plane safely at Delhi airport on one engine.
29 August: Dehradun-Hyderabad Indigo flight Indigo flight going from Dehradun to Hyderabad had to make emergency landing in Jaipur due to technical fault. The pilot immediately contacted air traffic control and obtained permission to land and all passengers remained safe.
