Malayalam superstar Mammootty has been chosen as the Best Actor for his stellar performance in director Rahul Sadasivans critically acclaimed film Brahmayugam while the sensational hit Manjummel Boys has been adjudged the Best Film by the jury of the 55th Kerala State Film Awards. The awards were announced in Thrissur on Monday (November 3). The winners of the 55th Kerala State Film Awards were announced at a press conference by Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian. The jury panel headed by renowned actor Prakash Raj included eminent professionals such as film director Ranjan Pramod film producer Jibu Jacob screenwriter Santosh Echikkanam singer Gayatri Ashokan sound designer and director Nithin Lukose and actor writer and dubbing artist Baghyalakshmi.
