Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced an ambitious plan in the field of solar energy. The corporation has planned to start solar energy projects keeping in mind the green energy goals of the country. Through these projects MSRTC wants to achieve the target of generating electricity worth Rs 1000 crore annually.

Under this scheme, solar panels will be installed in some major depots in the first phase. After this it will be gradually implemented in the entire state.
