The Indian women's cricket team recently won their first-ever WODI World Cup.

The team led by Harmanpreet Kaur defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium.

Deepti Sharma played an instrumental role in the summit clash, scoring a run-a-ball 58 besides taking five wickets.

On this note, we list down the bowlers with five-wicket hauls in Women's World Cup finals.

Deepti Sharma - 5/39 vs SA, 2025
#1

Chasing 299 in the aforementioned clash, South Africa were placed at 148/4 when Deepti made her first strike, trapping wicket-keeper Sinalo Jafta.

Her remaining four wickets came in the latter stages of the contest.

She dismissed the dangerous Annerie Dercksen, breaking a superb stand.

In the 42nd over, she sent back centurion Laura Wolvaardt (101). Chloe Tryon and Nadine de Klerk were her final two wickets.

Deepti finished her spell with 5/39 from 9.3 overs.

Anya Shrubsole -6/46 vs India, 2017

England's Anya Shrubsole is the only other name on this list. She achieved this feat against India in the final of the 2017 edition at Lord's.

Chasing 229 for victory, India were off to a rocky start with Shrubsole trapping in-form opener Smriti Mandhana for a duck.

She later dismissed the well-set Punam Raut (86) as well. Shrubsole also claimed four of the final five wickets as India went from 191/3 to 219/10.

She returned with 6/46 from 9.4 overs.
