Shooting Incident Details

In Faridabad, a 17-year-old girl was shot by an individual who had reportedly been stalking her for several days. The incident occurred outside a private library, a location frequented by both the girl and the suspect for their studies, and was captured on CCTV. Authorities revealed that the suspect was familiar with the girl's routine and had been waiting for her arrival.


The CCTV footage from the scene shows the suspect waiting at the location before the girl arrived. Initial investigations indicate that the assailant had been monitoring her movements and was aware of the route she took to and from the library.


Victim Identifies the Attacker

Currently receiving medical treatment, the girl identified her attacker, stating that she recognized him due to previous harassment. She informed the police, saying, "I know that boy; he has been troubling me for a long time." After the shooting, the suspect discarded the weapon at the scene. Authorities recovered a homemade pistol shortly after the attack. A police spokesperson confirmed that teams have been formed to apprehend the suspect.


The injured individual, Himanshu Verma, a resident of Sanjay Colony in Sector 23, has been admitted to a private hospital, where his condition remains critical.


Another Attack Reported

In a separate incident, police reported that a 15-year-old boy was attacked with a knife outside his school in Dubua Colony on Tuesday. Utkarsh, a ninth-grade student at Vishwas Convent School, sustained deep knife wounds to his chest and arm. Officials stated that he has also been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
