Amit Shah's Rally in Darbhanga
On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for lodging a complaint with the Election Commission regarding the timing of a financial transfer to women involved in the livelihood program. Speaking to a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters in Darbhanga, he expressed his excitement by stating that recently, over ₹1 crore (₹10,000 each) had been transferred to the bank accounts of these women by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He expressed disbelief that the RJD had requested the Election Commission to reverse this transfer.
Amit Shah urged the women to disregard Lalu and Tejashwi, asserting that even if their previous three generations were present, they would not be able to provide the ₹10,000.
The NDA government has initiated the Chief Minister's Women Employment Scheme, which has facilitated the transfer of ₹10,000 to over a million 'Jeevika Didis' (women associated with self-help groups under the Jeevika program) to support self-employment. Shah's remarks were filled with conviction as he targeted the opposition, stating, 'Lalu and Rabri want to make their son the Chief Minister, and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the Prime Minister. I want to tell them that neither Lalu's son will become Chief Minister nor Sonia's son will become Prime Minister. There is no place for them.'
Following this, the Home Minister outlined the NDA's vision for Bihar's development. He announced plans to establish skill development centers in every district, set up a new factory in each district, and create ten new industrial parks in the state. Similar to Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, a defense corridor will also be established in Bihar. Discussing proposed development projects in Darbhanga, Amit Shah mentioned the construction of a grand Sita Mata temple at a cost of ₹850 crore in Punaura Dham. Once the temple is completed, they plan to connect Ayodhya and Sitamarhi with Vande Bharat trains.
The crowd erupted with enthusiasm as Shah appealed to voters, stating, 'When you press the 'Lotus' symbol, it should not just mean choosing a legislator, but also signify the end of 'Jungle Raj.' Do you want to bring back the 15 years of 'Jungle Raj' during Lalu and Rabri's rule in Bihar?' He further emphasized that Lalu and Rabri had done nothing for Bihar's development, assuring that people would no longer need to travel to Delhi or Patna for treatment; they would receive care at the AIIMS in Darbhanga.
While addressing the crowd about the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Shah highlighted the government's stance on national security, stating, 'The response to bullets will be with bullets.'
