New chapter of economic prosperity in India

New Delhi: A new turn has come in India’s economic progress! According to the Economic Survey 2024-25, Telangana’s Rangareddy district has become India’s most prosperous district in terms of per capita gross domestic product (GDP), leaving behind major cities like Gurugram, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Rangareddy has a per capita GDP of ₹11.46 lakh, which shows how urban development and technological innovation can transform local economies. The success of this district is due to its developed IT sector, biotech and pharma companies, and excellent infrastructure and connectivity. Rangareddy, which is surrounded by Osman Sagar Lake and Ananthagiri Hills, offers a wonderful blend of modern development and natural beauty.

Gurugram (Haryana) – ₹9.05 lakh

Gurugram is known for its high-rise buildings, luxurious lifestyle and fast-growing corporate sector, as well as natural sites like the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, which are ideal for weekend getaways.

Bengaluru Urban (Karnataka) – ₹8.93 lakh
