New Delhi: Honda has revealed the all-new CB1000GT at EICMA 2025 in Milan. This is a litre-class touring bike made for riders who want strong power and comfort at the same time. It uses the same engine as the CB1000 Hornet but is tuned differently to give better mid-range performance for long highway rides.

However, the Honda has also changed the frame and added features to carry luggage more easily. With advanced electronics and adjustable suspension coming as standard, the CB1000GT aims to offer a comfortable riding experience for both highway use and winding mountain roads.

The Honda CB1000GT uses the same 1,000cc inline-four, liquid-cooled engine from the CB1000 Hornet but is tuned for stronger mid-range power. Because of this, the bike produces slightly lower peak numbers, 149.7hp at 11,000rpm and 102Nm at 8,750rpm. The gearbox has revised ratios to make it better for long-distance touring.

Honda has made several changes to the frame, including a longer subframe and swingarm, giving more space for a pillion and luggage while also improving stability. The seat height is 825mm, and ground clearance is 133mm, which is 3mm higher than the Hornet. The bike weighs 229kg.

The CB1000GT comes with electronically adjustable Showa suspension that automatically changes damping based on speed and road conditions. Riders can choose from four modes, including Standard, Rain, Sport, and Tour. The suspension travel is 130mm at the front and 144mm at the rear. Brakes include dual 310mm front discs with Nissin 4-piston callipers and a 240mm rear disc, with cornering ABS. The tyres are 120/70-ZR17 at the front and 180/55-ZR17 at the rear.

Electronic features include a 6-axis IMU, traction control (HSTC), multiple riding modes, and cruise control. These are controlled through a 5-inch TFT display. The bike also gets a bi-directional quickshifter, heated grips, knuckle guards, detachable panniers, and a centre stand as standard.

The CB1000GT is positioned as a litre-class sport tourer, competing with models like the Kawasaki Versys 1100 and BMW S 1000 XR.
