1. Banana:
Potassium is found in abundance in bananas, which balances the effects of sodium in the body. Since sodium is a major cause of increasing BP, potassium helps in controlling blood pressure by balancing it. Eating one or two bananas daily is a simple yet effective solution.
2. Beetroot:
Nitrates are found in beetroot, which gets converted into nitric oxide in the body. It improves blood flow by dilating blood vessels and reduces BP. Drinking a glass of fresh beetroot juice or adding it to salad is beneficial.
3. Garlic:
Garlic contains an active compound called allicin, which is capable of reducing blood pressure naturally. Chewing one or two raw garlic cloves every morning on an empty stomach or using it in food is beneficial for high BP patients.
4. Oats:
The soluble fiber present in oats helps in reducing cholesterol and improving the health of blood vessels. It is considered an ideal breakfast to reduce the risk of high BP. Consume oats boiled in milk or water without sugar, along with fruits and nuts.
