Virat Kohli, who turned 37 on November 5, continues to inspire millions of people with his tireless hard work and dedication, these qualities make him one of the most successful international cricketers ever. Known for his calculated approach, which earned him the title of 'Chase Master', Kohli is currently in the final stages of his illustrious international career. The former Indian captain, who is also India's most successful Test captain, has already announced his retirement from two formats and is now focusing only on ODIs as he hopes to win the World Cup for the second time, although he narrowly missed it in 2023.

Apart from cricket, Kohli has also built a strong business portfolio over the years which has helped him amass a modest fortune. From food and sports to online retail and lifestyle ventures, his investments reflect the same focus and foresight that is seen in his sports. Money invested in food sector

Kohli made his first foray into the hospitality sector in 2017 by investing in Passion Hospitality. Passion Hospitality operates their popular One8 Commune restaurant chain. Apart from this, Kohli has also invested in soft drinks manufacturer Ocean Drinks and packaged food company Blue Tribe. Apart from this, Kohli, along with Sixth Sense Venture Capital and two others, has invested about Rs 19 crore in Swambhan Commerce. It is a manufacturer of instant flavored coffee products and is mainly sold under the brand name Rage Coffee.

Investing in Sports and Games

Kohli's last investment was seen in the World Bowling League in May 2025. They have also invested in MPL through a strategic partnership with parent company Galactus Funware Technology. Many people, especially football fans, are aware of Kohli's investment in Indian Super League (ISL) club FC Goa. Interestingly, this was his first investment, which he made in February 2015. Kohli had initially invested around Rs 3 crore. After this, another investment of about Rs 35 crore was made at the end of the year. This investment was the combined amount of all the investors including this cricketer.

Invested money in online retail also

WROGN and Agilitas are two of Kohli's well-known investments in online retail. Kohli, along with Cornerstone Sports LLP, invested approximately Rs 20 crore in WROGN in 2020. He then invested in another company in the same sector, Agilitas – a sports footwear manufacturing company. This was in October 2024, when Kohli along with three other people had invested Rs 58 crore.

Investing in social networking sites

In the social networking sector, Kohli also invested in Koo app, which closed its operations in July 2024. Kohli had invested for 0.01 percent stake in September 2021. At that time the valuation of the company was around Rs 800-850 crore.

In February 2020, Kohli invested in Go Digit along with other big investors like TVS Capital. The company launched its IPO in May 2024.
