use blade

Gently run an old or cheap razor blade over the surface of the cloth. With this, the threads come out easily. Be careful not to apply too much pressure on the blade while removing cotton, otherwise the wool may get cut.

Scotch tape or adhesive tape

Stick the tape on your fingers and gently pat it on the cloth. All the small hairs stuck to the tape will come out. This method works especially well on jackets or coats.

pumice stone or fine sandpaper

Gently rub the bath pumice stone on the cloth. The hairs separate from the surface and move away. Later brush the cloth with a brush.

clothes brush or old toothbrush

Brush the fabric gently with a soft brush. This removes loose fibers from the surface and makes the cloth look smooth.

Be careful while washing

• Wash woolen clothes in cold water with mild detergent.
• Select ‘gentle’ mode or ‘wool’ mode in the washing machine. This reduces the possibility of hair formation.
• Do not dry woolen clothes in direct sunlight, instead spread them upside down in light sunlight.
• Fold clothes immediately after use, this reduces the fibers getting entangled.
