Japan, voted as “world’s most favorite country” last year by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, ranked fifth in a list of 10 most desirable destinations to relocate to, a report found.

With over 172,000 total relocation searches, Japan ranked behind Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand, according to the report compiled by 1st Move International, one of the U.K.’s largest independent international moving companies.

The company looked at Google searches from around the world to reveal which countries people are most interested in relocating to.

Known for its politeness, cultural nuances and very low crime rate, Japan is a perennial favorite among international visitors.

Its reputation is also supported by safe, clean, and highly efficient public transportation, along with unique experiences like onsen (hot springs), tea ceremonies, and the pop culture of anime and manga.

The number of foreign visitors to Japan between January and September rose 17.7% from a year earlier to around 31.65 million, marking the fastest pace on record in surpassing 30 million within a year.
