Babyorgano, an ayurvedic babycare brand, has raised $2.2 million (Rs 20 crore) in a funding round led by RPSG Capital Ventures, with existing investor Sauce VC participating.

The funds will be utilised for product innovation, marketing and to scale operations.

“This investment comes at a time when awareness and trust in natural, ayurvedic care for children are growing rapidly,” Riddhi Sharma, founder & CEO, Babyorgano, said in a statement. “With an over 40% repeat customer rate and a strong innovation pipeline, we are committed to redefining kids’ health and wellness for a new generation of parents.”

Founded in 2020 by Riddhi and Ripul Sharma, Babyorgano purveys baby and kid care products catering to wellness, skincare, haircare, bathcare, immunity, cold, cough and more. The products are available on ecommerce and quick commerce marketplaces as well as on its own direct-to-consumer website.

The company aims to achieve over Rs 100 crore revenue by FY27. Some of its key products include a memory boosting syrup, a cold relief roll-on, cough syrup, chocovita milk mix, and ayurvedic gummies.

“Babyorgano sits at the confluence of two powerful consumer trends — the rise of ayurveda … and the growing demand for safe, chemical-free childcare,” said Abhishek Goenka, managing partner, RPSG Capital Ventures.

In the babycare products segment, Babyorgano competes with the likes of The Moms Co, Mother Sparsh Baby Care, and Mamaearth, which also focus on natural and safe ingredients.

The infusion has come at a time when the babycare segment is attracting venture capital funding. In August, babycare quick commerce platform Peeko raised $3.2 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners. Similarly, Ozi, another quick commerce platform for babycare, raised $3.3 million in October in a round led by Blume Ventures.
