Drinking the decoction made here by mixing basil, ginger, black pepper and a little honey every morning or night keeps cold and cough away and keeps the throat clear.
Talking about other remedies, the mixture of ginger and honey is beneficial in Ayurveda. The antibacterial properties present in ginger and the warm effect of honey provide instant relief to sore throat and cough. Simply mix one teaspoon ginger juice and half teaspoon honey and take it twice a day.
