The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order to recruit over 45,000 Home Guard volunteers across the state. This time, the entire responsibility for recruitment has been given to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). Along with the government order, the Uttar Pradesh State Home Guard Enrollment Guidelines have also been released. According to this, candidates must apply based on the vacancies in their own district. The application process will begin online on July 1st. Candidates will only be able to apply for the district where they are natives.
Qualifications and Age Limit
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per the rules.
Selection Process
The selection process will be entirely merit-based, consisting of a 100-mark written examination. The exam will be of two hours' duration and will consist of objective-type questions. Successful candidates will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification, and Physical Standard Test (PST). The minimum height requirement is 168 cm for men and 152 cm for women. There will be no waiting list after the selection list is released.
