Check-In System Issues Affect Flights
On Wednesday, Air India's check-in system faced disruptions at Delhi and several other airports, leading to delays in numerous flight departures. The issue stemmed from a failure in third-party network connectivity.
The airline, part of the Tata Group, announced via a social media update that the check-in system has now been restored, although some flights may still experience minor delays until normal operations resume.
In a post on the platform 'X', Air India stated, "Due to a network connectivity issue affecting our check-in system at certain airports, there were delays in flight departures. However, the system has now been restored."
According to sources, the check-in system at Delhi Airport's Terminals T2 and T3 was down for approximately 70 minutes, impacting operations from 3:40 PM to 4:50 PM.
Air India advised passengers to check their flight status on the airline's website before traveling on Wednesday and to allow extra time to reach the airport. However, the airline did not specify which airports were affected by this issue.
