Jeevan Pramaan Portal: Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners is a Government of India scheme. It ensures that pensioners do not face any inconvenience in obtaining life certificates. Certain agencies have been authorized to provide them with easy access to this certificate from the comfort of their homes. These agencies also issue certificates at their homes.

What is Jeevan Pramaan?
Jeevan Pramaan is a digital service for pensioners that provides them with a life certificate after biometric authentication. Upon receipt of this certificate, the pensioner's respective bank or postal payment bank receives information confirming their life certificate digitally. Pension credits to their account continue uninterrupted thereafter. For more information, visit https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/.

Aadhaar Authentication:
Jeevan Pramaan uses an Aadhaar-based authentication process (a biometric-enabled digital service). You're likely aware that senior pensioners are required to submit a Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) every year to continue receiving their pension. The government has now made this process even easier. Senior citizens can submit their Life Certificates from the comfort of their homes, using doorstep banking and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) services.

How to avail this facility at home?

Now, senior citizens can submit their Digital Life Certificate (DLC) from the comfort of their homes through the Public Sector Bank (PSB) Alliance's Doorstep Banking Services. This facility is available to both India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) customers and non-customers. You can contact your nearest post office or submit a request through the Post Info mobile app. You can also submit a doorstep service request by visiting the official portal: https://ccc.cept.gov.in/ServiceRequest/request.aspx.

Is there any fee required?
There is no doorstep fee for generating a Digital Life Certificate (DLC). The fee for creating a successful Digital Life Certificate (DLC) will be only ₹70 (including GST). However, this facility is free for senior citizens aged 60 and above at government banks or PSB Alliance.

When can you submit a Life Certificate?
Pensioners are required to submit their Life Certificates at this time every year. The deadline for submitting this certificate for pensioners aged 60 to 80 is from November 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025. However, pensioners aged 80 or above have the extension from October 1, 2025, to November 1, 2025.

Requirements for Doorstep Service
If you wish to avail the doorstep service for Jeevan Pramaan, you must keep a few prerequisites in mind. First, your Aadhaar number must be active and linked to your pension account. Your mobile number must be registered with the bank or post office. Also, have your pension information ready, such as the PPO number, pension type, and payment agency.

What happens after submission?

Upon successful completion of the Jeevan Pramaan, an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number. The certificate can then be downloaded from jeevanpramaan.gov.in using the transaction ID. This certificate serves as proof of the pensioner's survival and will ensure pension credits to their account throughout the year.
