Bihar Elections: 60.18 percent voting till 5 pm in the first phase, highest 73.29% voting in Meenapur Assembly.

Patna, 6 November. For the first phase of assembly elections in Bihar, 60.18 percent voting was recorded till 5 pm on Thursday in 121 seats in 18 districts. Although due to security reasons, voting ended at 5 pm in 56 polling stations of some assembly constituencies, voting continued till 6 pm in most of the seats. The final voting percentage is expected to be known by late night.

Voters of Meenapur are at the forefront, Kumhrar assembly seat lags behind.

According to the data released by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the highest number of 73.29 percent votes were cast in Meenapur till 5 pm in terms of assembly seat. Kumharar assembly seat has the lowest voting percentage of 39.52 percent.

Samastipur district has 66.65 won by percentage of votes

If we look at the district wise figures, maximum number of voters (66.65 percent) used their votes in Samastipur district. According to district wise data, 67.32 percent voting was recorded in Begusarai district of Bihar, 53.24 percent in Bhojpur, 55.10 percent in Buxar, 58.38 percent in Darbhanga, 64.96 percent in Gopalganj, 60.65 percent in Khagaria, 62.76 percent in Lakhisarai, 65.74 percent in Madhepura.

Voting was 54.90 percent in Munger, 64.63 percent in Muzaffarpur, 57.58 percent in Nalanda, 55.02 percent in Patna, 62.65 percent in Saharsa, 60.90 percent in Saran, 52.36 percent in Sheikhpura, 57.41 percent in Siwan and 59.45 percent in Vaishali district. The least number of votes have been cast in Shekhpura district.

64 percent voting in Tejashwi Yadav’s Raghopur seat

If we talk about the assembly constituencies of major candidates, then 64.01 percent voting took place in Raghopur. Tejashwi Yadav is contesting elections from here. Tej Pratap Yadav is a candidate from Mahua, where 54.88 percent voting took place.

A look at the voting percentage in other veterans’ seats

Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary is in the fray from Tarapur seat, where 58.33 percent voters have cast their votes till 5 pm. Second Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha is a candidate from Lakhisarai, where 60.51 percent votes were cast. Khesari Lal Yadav is contesting from Chapra, where 56.32 percent voting took place. Maithili Thakur is a candidate from Alinagar, where 58.05 percent voting took place. Anant Singh has contested from Mokama, where 60.16 percent votes were cast.

At the same time, 61.05 percent voting was recorded in Bhore (candidate Preeti Kinnar) seat, 57.38 percent in Siwan (Mangal Pandey) seat, 70.19 percent in Sarairanjan (Vijay Kumar Choudhary) seat, 60.17 percent in Lalganj (Munna Shukla’s daughter Shivani Shukla) seat and 51.18 percent in Raghunathpur (Shahabuddin’s son Osama Shahab) seat.
