Major Drug Bust in Chittorgarh: Police Seize MDMA Worth Crores

The Rajasthan police have made a significant drug seizure in Chittorgarh district, apprehending an individual in connection with the case. Officials disclosed this information on Friday.


According to Manish Tripathi, the Superintendent of Police in Chittorgarh, the police from the Nimbahera station intercepted a vehicle during a checkpoint operation, recovering 4 kilograms and 635 grams of MDMA powder. The estimated value of this substance in the international market is reported to be in the crores.


The police team stopped a car coming from Neemuch at the Jaliya checkpoint. Upon searching the vehicle, they discovered the narcotics hidden in a bag containing four plastic pouches in the trunk.


Authorities noted that this drug is particularly popular among the youth, with the price of a single gram reaching thousands of rupees. The driver, Ankit Singh Sisodia, hails from Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. He has been arrested, and the vehicle has also been seized. A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and a thorough investigation is underway.
