Things got more complicated when the Netflix team expressed dissatisfaction with the way the film had shaped up. But it remains a solid and powerful story.” Makers appeal to Netflix for release In light of the Indian women’s cricket team’s recent historic win the makers have reached out to Netflix executives once again hoping to revive the project. The same report mentioned that the producers personally wrote to the top decision-makers at Netflix India urging them to move past internal disputes and allow the film to release. The letter reportedly stated “We have written to Netflix India’s top officials asking them to rise above this controversy and ensure the film reaches audiences. A biopic on a legend like Jhulan deserves to be seen.” Will Netflix finally give the green light? Another insider revealed that Chakda Xpress has become a hot topic of discussion again within Netflix following India’s recent cricketing victory. “Internal discussions have begun within the streaming giant” the source said adding that the team expects to take a final call by the end of this month possibly after some additional post-production work.
