The fifth T20 International match being played between India and Australia at Gabba, Brisbane is in serious trouble due to rain. The game was stopped when the Indian team had scored 52 runs in 4.5 overs without losing any wicket.

This score was still before India completed 5 overs, so the match was abandoned and did not go to the Duckworth-Lewis rule. With this, India won the series 2-1.

The Fundamental Laws of T20 International cricket make it clear that a valid result can be declared only if both teams play at least 5 overs each. Since India had not yet completed 5 overs, the DLS rule (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) did not apply and the game was abandoned due to weather.

According to the rules, a final time limit is set to resume the game, taking into account the time. According to media reports, this cut-off time was 5:00 PM Indian time (5 PM IST) but the situation was already worse.

Since the Indian team already has an unassailable 2-1 lead in the series, India won this T20 series when the match was cancelled. Australia has been humiliated in home conditions and in front of the fans, Australia has lost 2-1 in this series. The first match of this series was also washed out due to rain and now the same happened in this match also. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, India has defeated almost all the big teams.
