Rishabh Pant Injured Again: Fans are eagerly waiting for the return of star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who was injured during the England tour, to international cricket. Pant has also been selected for the upcoming Test series against South Africa, but just before the series, the vice-captain of the Test team once again got injured. He got injured during the multi-day match against South Africa A. After which Pant had to leave the field.

Pant was injured several times during the second unofficial Test being played between India A and South Africa A at the BCCI Center of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. Leading their second innings at 78/3 on the third day of the match, India A lost a wicket early on, but Pant’s arrival strengthened the team’s lead. During this period, the South Africa A attack hurt him several times. Pant suffered a blow to the helmet while attempting an aggressive shot early in his innings, prompting initial assessment by the medical staff. A short while later, while defending, the ball took the inside edge of his left wrist, which then hit his thigh pad.

The physio came again and bandaged his wrist, while Pant continued to bat despite the discomfort. Shortly after the wrist injury, Pant also suffered a groin injury while defending another ball, and play was halted briefly as he tried to leave the ball. India A were still in control of the match, but their captain was clearly struggling, so eventually Pant decided to leave the field. He retired hurt and walked out of the field and in his place Dhruv Jurel came to the crease. At that time India A’s score was 108 runs for 4 wickets, in which 30 more runs were added in the morning and Pant was playing on 17 runs in 22 balls.
