Ganeshram’s kidney transplant successful with government help, family met Chief Minister and expressed gratitude
Chhattisgarh News: Regarding health services in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme has now become a lifeline for those families for whom it is not possible to bear the expenses of serious diseases. This scheme has once again given a new life to 48-year-old farmer Ganeshram Yadav, resident of Bagicha in Jashpur district. Both the kidneys of Ganeshram were damaged. The condition of Ganeshram, who was undergoing dialysis for several months, was continuously deteriorating. Doctors advised him for kidney transplant, but after hearing the cost of the treatment, the family’s hopes started falling. It was impossible for a farmer family to bear such a huge expense – the family stood helpless, and every day the hope of life was slowly fading away.
In this difficult time, he got information about Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme through Kunkuri Sadan. The family responded promptly, required documents were prepared, and their entire treatment was approved free of cost under the scheme without any complicated procedures. Ganeshram was admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Raipur under the supervision of specialist doctors. For his treatment, his 64-year-old mother Saraswati Yadav donated her kidney to her son without hesitation — thus a mother gave life to her son for the second time. The kidney transplant was successful, and Ganeshram is now completely healthy. After returning home his family is again filled with happiness.
After recovering, Ganeshram along with his family met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence in the capital Raipur. There was moisture of gratitude and emotions in his eyes. Thanking the Chief Minister, Ganeshram said, “If this scheme had not happened, perhaps I would not have been alive today. The government has returned the broken hope of our lives.” Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while meeting Ganeshram and his family cordially, extended his best wishes for their bright and healthy future. He said, “Every citizen of the state is entitled to get better health facilities. Our government’s effort is that no person is deprived of treatment due to financial constraints – this is public service in the true sense.” Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Chief Minister Health Assistance Scheme is giving a new dimension to humanity and compassion in the field of health care.
