Brisbane. Indian team won 2-1 in the five-match T20 series against Australia. The last match of the T20 series between the two teams was played on 8 November (Saturday) at The Gabba, Brisbane. This match remained inconclusive due to rain. The Indian team has not lost a T20 series on Australian soil since 2008. Team India has maintained that streak.
Apart from five T20 matches, the Indian team also played three ODI matches on the Australia tour. Under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, India had to face defeat by 1-2 in the ODI series. Indian players are not going to get much break after the end of Australia tour. The Indian team is now going to play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20 International matches against South Africa at home.
The first match of the Test series between India and South Africa is to be held at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 14, which is less than a week away. Then the second and last match of the Test series is scheduled from 22nd November at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. After the Test, the turn of the ODI series will come. The first match of the ODI series will be held in Ranchi on 30 November. After this, the second match will be played in Raipur on 3rd December and the last ODI match will be played in Visakhapatnam on 6th December.
When will the T20I matches be held?
After the ODI matches, a five-match T20 series will be organized between India and South Africa. The first match of the T20 series is scheduled on 9 December in Cuttack. Then T20 matches will be organized on 11 December (Mullanpur), 14 December (Dharamshala), 17 December (Lucknow) and 19 December (Ahmedabad).
Let us tell you that the squads of both India and South Africa have been announced for the Test series. Shubman Gill will captain the Indian team in the Test series, while Temba Bavuma will command the South African team. The squads of both the teams for the ODI and T20 series have not been finalized yet.
