In a targeted operation against wanted criminals, law enforcement has apprehended an individual who had been evading capture since 1995 for a theft charge. This information was disclosed by an official on Saturday.

The official revealed that Dwijendra Kamalprasad Dubey, a 65-year-old resident of Basti in Uttar Pradesh, was implicated in a theft case. Due to his failure to appear in court, a non-bailable warrant was issued against him.

According to the official, a police team initiated a search operation based on specific intelligence to locate the suspect. On October 26, the team conducted searches in Basti, Ayodhya, and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Eventually, the accused was apprehended in the Grant Road area of Mumbai.
