The ingredients required to make Punjabi Style Aloo Gobi are as follows:-

  • Cauliflower – 1 (chopped)

  • Potato – 2 (cut into small pieces)

  • Peas – ½ cup

  • Onion – 1 (finely chopped)

  • Tomato – 2 (finely chopped)

  • Ginger – 1 inch piece

  • Garlic – 6 to 8 cloves

  • Green chilli – 2

  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp

  • Dry mango powder – ½ tsp

  • Cumin – ½ tsp

  • Green coriander – 2 teaspoons (finely chopped)

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Mustard oil – 2 teaspoons

Method to make Potato Cabbage Vegetable

  • First of all, grind ginger, garlic and green chilli coarsely.

  • Put mustard oil in a pan, heat it on medium flame and splutter cumin seeds in it.

  • Now add finely chopped onion and fry for 2 minutes until it turns golden.

  • After this, add crushed ginger-garlic-green chilli mixture and cook for 1 minute.

  • Now add chopped tomatoes to it and cook till masala is formed.

  • Add potatoes to the prepared masala and stir for 2 minutes.

  • Now add chopped cauliflower to it and cook while stirring for 5 minutes.

  • After this add peas, slow down the gas and cover the pan.

  • In about 15-20 minutes the vegetables will be completely cooked and absorbed in the spices.

Enhance the taste like this before serving

After the vegetable is ready, add finely chopped coriander and a little garam masala on top. Stir well once so that the flavor spreads throughout the mixture.

Now your Punjabi style aloo gobi sabzi is ready. Serve it with hot roti, paratha or rice. Your family members and guests will definitely like the taste of this spicy vegetable.
