Benefits of Milk: For good health, it is important to pay attention to eating habits and good habits of daily life. Milk has been a part of our diet since ancient times, that is, our grandmothers have been advising us to drink milk. Milk contains abundant amounts of calcium which provides nutrition. If you consume milk at the right time, in the right quantity and in the right way, you get its benefits.
Drinking milk is beneficial i.e. its juice is sweet, semen is cool and semen is sweet. In its properties, it is considered heavy, greasy and tonic. It especially pacifies Vata and Pitta doshas and nourishes the body, mind and soul. If we consume milk, we get many benefits from it. By consuming milk regularly, the calcium and vitamin D present in it strengthen the bones. It purifies the blood, brings glow to the skin and provides energy in mental-physical fatigue. Drinking milk strengthens the muscles and increases the body structure and brain efficiency.
Health experts give their opinion about when milk should be consumed and when not. Here the right time to drink milk is considered to be at night. If you drink lukewarm milk before sleeping at night, your sleep gets better. Consuming milk mixed with ginger or trikatu is more beneficial and helps in digestion. Try not to mix things like sour fruits, salt, non-vegetarian, soda or curd with milk. Otherwise you get bad effects from it i.e. problems like allergies or skin diseases may occur.
You can also consume milk plain, but in Ayurveda, if you mix some other things with milk, then its benefits are good for the body. Turmeric milk increases immunity, Ashwagandha milk increases strength and semen, Triphala milk is beneficial for eyes and skin, cinnamon milk helps in controlling sugar, saffron milk increases skin and reproductive power and nutmeg milk is good for sleep. In case of constipation, taking one spoon ghee mixed with milk at night is beneficial. Always drink boiled milk so that it becomes easy to digest and the pathogenic bacteria are destroyed. Remember, milk should not be taken immediately after meals. People with diabetes should take it without honey or sugar candy. If digestion is weak, take it mixed with turmeric or trikatu.
