While doing makeup, it is important to take care of every single thing. In the makeup process, primer is used before foundation, after moisturizing the skin. It provides a smooth base to the skin and helps in hiding blemishes. There are many expensive primers available in the market, but if your budget is limited, you can resort to some effective home remedies.
Aloe vera gel is beneficial for all types of skin. It acts as a natural primer, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and fuller. Its light stickiness helps the foundation or BB cream to stick to the skin better. To use it, extract the gel from a fresh aloe vera leaf and apply a thin layer on the face. Do not rub it too much and leave it for 1-2 minutes.
If your skin is dry or matte, milk or curd can be used as a primer. Milk and curd contain lactic acid, which gradually removes dead skin cells. It smoothens the skin and helps the foundation to spread easily. Soak a cotton pad in milk and apply it on the face and let it dry. Make a smooth mixture by beating the curd and apply on the face for 2-3 minutes. Then wash with light water and pat dry.
Almond oil is a great natural primer. It should be used only in small quantities. It is very beneficial for dry skin or in winter, because it makes the skin soft. For this, heat 1-2 drops of oil between the fingers and massage gently only on dry areas.
