Arun Jaitley Stadium Hosts More Than 300 First-Class Matches: Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium has created a new history. Arun Jaitley Stadium has achieved a significant milestone by hosting more than 300 first class matches. On this occasion, BCCI President Mithun Manhas has congratulated Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) chief Rohan Jaitley.

Talking to the media agency, Mithun Manhas said that I want to congratulate DDCA President Rohan Jaitley and his entire team. More than 300 first-class matches have been played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This is a huge achievement and really deserves praise, especially the hard work he has put in since joining. I thank him for inviting me on this special occasion and congratulate him again.

Why did Mithun Manhas congratulate Rohan Jaitley?

Rohan Jaitley was recently made the chairman of the board’s infrastructure committee after the BCCI’s 94th Annual General Meeting held in September. In the same meeting, Manhas was appointed BCCI President in place of Roger Binny. Now the Jaitley-led committee includes Manhas, Rajeev Shukla, Devjit Saikia, Prabhtej Bhatia, A. Raghuram Bhatt, Anirudh Choudhary and Sana Satish Babu. Earlier the responsibility of this committee was with Roger Binny.

Jaitley’s job is to look after the cricket grounds across the country. They are focusing on building new stadiums and facilities as well as improving old facilities. In December, he was re-elected President of DDCA (Delhi and District Cricket Association), where he got 1,577 votes, while former cricketer Kirti Azad got 777 votes.

Recently, Jaitley and Manhas met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. In this meeting he discussed developing a world-class cricket infrastructure in the state and preparing a roadmap to nurture young players. This initiative is being considered a big step towards strengthening cricket facilities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also appreciated this initiative

The BCCI delegation promised full support to develop modern training centres, better pitches and advanced facilities in cities like Jammu and Srinagar. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah appreciated the initiative and said that development of sports plays an important role in increasing youth participation and bringing unity in the society. He appreciated the efforts of BCCI, which is working towards giving more opportunities to local players and bringing forward budding cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir.
