New Delhi . A big trade can be seen before IPL 2026. Rajasthan Royals (RR) can trade their captain Sanju Samson in exchange for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) two star all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. Sanju Samson has been a part of Rajasthan Royals for the last 11 years and has been captaining the team since 2021. But after the conclusion of IPL 2025, he had indicated that he wanted to change the team.

Meanwhile, a senior CSK official confirmed to PTI that the franchise is interested in including Sanju Samson in the team. The official said on the condition of confidentiality, ‘Everyone knows that we want Sanju in our team. We have expressed our interest in this trading window. Rajasthan management is currently considering options, but we are hopeful that Sanju will play for us.

Ravindra Jadeja has been considered the backbone of CSK for a long time and he also took over the captaincy in Dhoni’s absence. England’s young all-rounder Sam Curran has played for both CSK and Punjab Kings teams. If this trade happens, it could prove to be one of the most shocking and big deals in IPL history.
What do the rules of trade say?

As per the rules, both the franchises will have to give official notice of their interest to the IPL Governing Council. After this, the agreement will go ahead after getting the written consent of the players and the trade will be finalized only after the approval of the governing body.
