Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is currently on his "Aura" tour. Recently, he has been targeted with new threats following a warning from Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, an American Khalistani terrorist. Reports indicate that pro-Khalistan slogans were allegedly chanted during his concert in Perth, leading to threats from Khalistani supporters to disrupt his upcoming performance in Auckland, New Zealand.
Calm in the Face of Threats
In light of the recent controversies, including backlash for touching Amitabh Bachchan's feet, Dosanjh has received threats from the banned Khalistani group SFJ. Nevertheless, he has chosen to remain composed and has been sharing moments from his concerts on social media platforms.
Incident Sparks Outrage
The controversy began when Diljit was seen touching the feet of Amitabh Bachchan in a promotional clip for Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. Following this, the Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) issued threats against him on October 29, with SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu threatening to cancel his concert in Australia scheduled for November 1.
Clarification from the Singer
In response to the threats, Diljit clarified that his appearance on the show was not to promote any film or song, but rather to raise awareness and support for flood relief efforts in Punjab.
Ongoing Tour Amidst Threats
Despite the threats, Diljit Dosanjh continues with his international tour, opting not to directly address the situation.
