Amla is a superfruit, which has been described as a life-giving fruit in Ayurveda. In modern times, where people consider avocado or orange as healthy fruits, Amla is more powerful and beneficial than them. The amount of Vitamin C in Amla is about 10 times more than that of orange and 70 times more than that of avocado. This is the reason why it is called Superfruit of India.

About 700 mg of Vitamin C is found in 100 grams of Amla, which is very important for increasing immunity, brightening the skin and creating collagen in the body. It cools the body and slows down the aging process. The most special thing about Amla is that it balances all three doshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Its regular consumption makes the skin glowing, strengthens the hair and also gives mental peace.

If we talk about weight loss, then Amla is helpful in this too, because it has very less calories and is rich in fiber. It improves digestion, cools the stomach and removes problems like constipation or gas. Amla is also best for liver cleaning and blood purification. Drinking its juice on an empty stomach in the morning removes toxins from the body and increases energy level.

Amla is no less than a boon for diabetes and heart patients. The chromium present in it controls blood sugar and reduces bad cholesterol. This keeps the heart healthy and improves blood circulation.

Amla also works as a tonic for skin, hair and eyes. Its antioxidant properties reduce wrinkles, prevent graying of hair and improve eyesight.

Drinking Amla juice on an empty stomach in the morning is very beneficial. Taking Triphala powder (Amla, Harad, Baheda) with lukewarm water at night detoxifies the body. For thick and strong hair, massage Amla oil twice a week, it makes hair strong and thick.
