CBSE's Strict Instructions to Schools
The CBSE has directed all affiliated schools to provide Class 11 registration numbers to students applying for JEE Main 2026 without delay. The board stated that this registration number is necessary for the NTA to verify students' information. Despite this, many schools are neglecting to provide this information to students, causing difficulties in filling out the forms.
The board stated that several parents have complained in this regard. Therefore, CBSE has once again clarified that all schools should provide this number to students promptly so that their applications can be completed on time.
JEE Main Exam 2026 Schedule
The application process for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is ongoing. Interested candidates can apply until November 27, 2025. The exam will be held between January 21 and January 30, 2026, at exam centers across the country. The exam will be held in two shifts: the first from 9 am to 12 noon and the second from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam city information will be released in the first week of January 2026.
