The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun preparations for the 10th and 12th board exams. The 2026 exams will begin on February 17th, with approximately 4.5 million students from India and abroad participating. This year, the board has taken special steps to make the examination process more transparent and secure. CCTV cameras will be mandatory at all exam centers, and live audio-video recording of the exam will be provided. Schools without cameras will not be designated as exam centers. This is intended to prevent cheating or any other malpractices during the exam.

CCTV cameras are mandatory at every exam center.
CBSE has issued a new CCTV policy for all exam centers. This policy will apply to exam centers in India as well as abroad. According to this policy, every school will be required to install cameras in exam halls, corridors, entry and exit gates, labs, and classrooms. Even students' desks will be monitored. The aim is to keep live recordings of every moment of the exam so that any suspicious activity can be immediately investigated.

Students will be given complete information.
CBSE has also instructed schools to inform students about the CCTV system before the exams. This information will be provided through notice boards, handbooks, and orientation programs, informing them that their activities will be recorded during the exam. This transparency will help maintain student discipline and ensure a fair examination process.

Datesheet Released in Record Time
CBSE has released the datesheet in record time this year. The datesheets for Class 10 and 12 have been announced 110 days before the exams begin. This will give students ample time to prepare and better plan for their exams.
