There's good news for young people dreaming of a government job in Uttar Pradesh. The recruitment process for 45,000 Home Guards has begun. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has activated the One-Time Registration (OTR) link for this recruitment. This means that any candidate wishing to participate in this recruitment process will need to complete the OTR first. Applications without OTR will not be accepted.

Candidates interested in participating in this recruitment process can easily register by visiting the website uppbpb.gov.in. According to the recruitment board, a detailed notification and exam schedule for this recruitment will be released soon. It is believed that the notification may be issued by the end of November.

Who will need to complete the OTR?

A one-time registration system has now been implemented for all police recruitments in Uttar Pradesh. This means that candidates will not need to enter their information repeatedly each time they apply. Once the OTR process is completed, their information will automatically be filled in the application form.

Candidates who have already completed the OTR do not need to register again. However, OTR is required for those applying for the first time. A video has also been released on the board's website explaining how to register and what to keep in mind.

Recruitment Notification Soon

UPPRPB has stated that the official notification for the Home Guard Recruitment 2025 will be available on the website soon. The notification will indicate the number of seats reserved for each category.

Candidates will be able to apply for this recruitment only in their permanent district. This means that if a candidate is a resident of Prayagraj, they will apply only in their district. Additionally, individuals who have previously been dismissed from municipal service or have criminal cases registered against them will not be eligible for this recruitment.

What will happen in the selection process?

To be selected for the Home Guard recruitment, candidates will be required to pass a physical efficiency test. This test will include various fitness parameters, such as running, high jump, and long jump. Candidates' documents will then be verified. The recruitment process will be completely transparent and online, eliminating any potential for malpractice.

How to do one-time registration

First, candidates should visit the uppbpb.gov.in website.

Click on the "One Time Registration (OTR)" link provided there.

Now enter your active email ID and mobile number. Note that these cannot be changed later.

Follow this by entering the ID number of one of the identity cards, such as your Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license, or passport.

Then fill in your name, date of birth, and other details as per your 10th grade marksheet.

You can access your 10th grade information from DigiLocker or enter it manually.

After submitting, a confirmation of your registration will be sent to your mobile number and email.
