Farah Khan reveals Bollywood circle ignored her husband, Shirish Kunder at parties, says, ‘World is full of…’

In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood where the lives of celebrities seem picture-perfect from the forefront a lot is brewing behind the surface. One such story is of Farah Khan who recently opened up on how her life that looks glamorous from the outside also entailed personal challenges. Filmmaker Farah Khan known for her candour and humour recently opened up about the early struggles in her marriage with filmmaker Shirish Kunder revealing how social dynamics in the industry affected their relationship and even led to frequent fights.
Recently on Sania Mirzas podcast where Farah Khan appeared as a guest revealed that in the initial years of her marriage to Shirish Kunder they “used to have a lot of fights” because she would “force him to go out” with her. She also shared that due to their contrasting personalities the duo had rifts quite often.
Farah confessed that Shirish would feel uncomfortable at industry gatherings because people would often ignore him and give all their attention to her. Explaining further Farah said “Not just the industry the world is full of a***s so they will always hone in on the person who is more successful at that point so they will only talk to me and ignore my husband and I didn’t like that and he didn’t either. So after a point we came to an agreement that if you are uncomfortable coming out with this set of people then don’t come. I want him to be happy and at peace.”
She also revealed why she keeps her personal life private saying “We know we are secure in our marriage and we don’t need to hold hands on the red carpet. Sometimes I feel that the more people are holding hands on the red carpet something is brewing.”
Farah and Shirish first met in the early 2000s when he edited her directorial debut Main Hoon Na like Jaan-E-Mann Om Shanti Om and Tees Maar Khan. Later they did several collaborations which further transcended their professional collaboration to a lifetime partnership. The couple married in 2004 and welcomed triplets Diva Anya and Czar in 2008. Farah rarely shares family photos choosing to keep her loved ones away from the constant glare of public attention.
