New Delhi: Team India captain Shubman Gill spoke about the absence of star pacer Mohammed Shami ahead of Indias Test series against South Africa which is set to begin on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The home side will miss the experience of star pacer Shami in the two-match series against the defending World Test Champions South Africa and Gill emphasized the importance of staying proactive and ahead in terms of planning. But when you look at the performances of others — guys like Akash Deep and Prasidh — and also what Siraj and Bumrah have done for us it becomes a tough call he said.
