How to make gum laddus (Gond Laddu Recipe and Benefits in Winter)
Material
- Edible gum – 1 cup
- Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Desi Ghee – 1–1.5 cups
- Bura/powdered sugar/jaggery – 1.5–2 cups
- Dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios) – 1 cup, finely chopped
- Coconut Bura – ½ cup
- Cardamom powder – 1–2 teaspoons
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan, add gum on low flame and fry till it swells. When it cools down, crush it or grind it coarsely in a mixer.
- In the same pan, add some ghee and fry the wheat flour until it turns golden. Then add dry fruits and coconut powder to the flour.
- Now add ground gum to this mixture and turn off the gas. After it cools down a bit, add sugar/jaggery and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Take the hot mixture in your hands and make laddus of desired size. Store them in an airtight container. Laddus remain good for many days.
