How to make gum laddus (Gond Laddu Recipe and Benefits in Winter)

Material

  • Edible gum – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Desi Ghee – 1–1.5 cups
  • Bura/powdered sugar/jaggery – 1.5–2 cups
  • Dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios) – 1 cup, finely chopped
  • Coconut Bura – ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1–2 teaspoons

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add gum on low flame and fry till it swells. When it cools down, crush it or grind it coarsely in a mixer.
  2. In the same pan, add some ghee and fry the wheat flour until it turns golden. Then add dry fruits and coconut powder to the flour.
  3. Now add ground gum to this mixture and turn off the gas. After it cools down a bit, add sugar/jaggery and cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Take the hot mixture in your hands and make laddus of desired size. Store them in an airtight container. Laddus remain good for many days.
