Bihar Assembly Election Result: On November 14, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), headed by Nitish Kumar, won 202 seats in the Bihar Assembly election, handily defeating the Mahagathbandhan, which only managed 35 seats.

With 89 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) became the single biggest party. Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU), a party ally, came in second with 85 seats. By gaining 26 seats, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which had dropped to third place, suffered a severe blow.
Even though the NDA coalition won by overwhelming proportions, there were few close contests throughout the election. In Sandesh, the closest battle was decided by a margin of 27 votes, while in three seats, the difference between the victor and the loser was less than 100 votes.

Sandesh: By a mere 27 votes, JD(U) candidate Radha Charan Sah defeated RJD contender Dipu Singh for the Assembly seat in the Arrah Lok Sabha constituency.
Ramgarh (Kaimur): -The BSP and BJP also fought a fierce battle for the Ramgarh seat. Ashok Kumar Singh of the BJP lost the seat to Satish Kumar Singh of the BSP by a margin of 30 votes.
– Agiaon: Mahesh Paswan of the BJP defeated the CPI(ML) candidate by a slim margin of 95 votes after a series of back and forth during the count.
Rama Nishad, the BJP candidate, won the Aurai seat with a margin of 52,817 votes, one of the landslide wins. In Jhanjharpur, BJP candidate Nitish Mishra defeated Ram Narayan Yadav by a margin of 52,490 votes, marking yet another significant victory.
