New Delhi: Apple may soon announce the name of its new CEO. Reports suggest that Apple CEO Tim Cook may step down next year. John Ternus could replace him. 50-year-old John Ternus is considered a frontrunner for the Apple CEO position. However his name has not yet been officially confirmed. Tim Cook is currently Apples CEO. John possesses technical expertise and two decades of experience at Apple. Based on these abilities he is considered a strong contender for Apples next CEO. Who is John Ternus? John Ternus is currently Apples Senior Vice President (Hardware Engineering). He is responsible for all of Apples hardware teams including iPhones iPads Macs and AirPods. 50-year-old John is considered Tim Cooks successor. His Journey with Apple John Ternus began his career with Apple in 2001. He joined the product design team. Climbing the ladder of success he became Vice President of Hardware Engineering in 2013. In 2021 he was promoted to Senior Vice President and has since headed the Hardware Engineering division. Over the past few years he has become a prominent face at Apple events. His increased presence is being seen as a sign that Apple is believed to be grooming him for a leadership role. Now it remains to be seen when Apple officially announces his appointment as CEO. Where is Tim Cook headed? Apple CEO Tim Cook has held this position for the past 14 years. He is now 65 years old. It is believed that he is about to retire. He was appointed CEO of Apple on August 24 2011. He is credited with taking Apple to new heights after Steve Jobs.
