Championship Kicks Off in Karnal

The 2025 Hockey India Sub Junior Women Academy Championship for Zones A and B commenced on Saturday at the Kailash Hockey Stadium located in Karnal, Haryana. Teams including Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy, Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy from Sonepat, HAR Hockey Academy, Ritu Rani Hockey Academy, R K Roy Hockey Academy, and Khalsa Hockey Academy from Amritsar secured victories in their respective matches.

Pool A: Roundglass Punjab and Pritam Siwach Shine

The day kicked off with a Pool A match where Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy triumphed over Vadipatti Raja Hockey Academy with an impressive score of 11-0. Notable performances included four goals each from Navdeep Kaur (6', 20', 30', 54') and Taniya Chandeliya (16', 19', 35', 37'). Additional goals were scored by Randeep Kaur (22'), Harmanpreet Kaur (39'), and Khushi Yadav (52').

In the second match, Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy (Sonepat) achieved a commanding 13-0 victory against Citizen Hockey XI in Pool A. Key contributors included Mauki (6', 33', 37', 50'), Captain Diya (39', 41', 46'), Anshika (30', 44'), Parnita (7'), Geetika (24'), Nancy Saroha (58'), and Chanchal (59').

Pool B: HAR Hockey Academy and Ritu Rani Excel

In Pool B, HAR Hockey Academy dominated Tamil Nadu Academy with a staggering score of 21-0. Antika was in phenomenal form, scoring seven goals (33', 34', 46', 47', 49', 57', 58'), while Anjali added six goals (5', 7', 30', 48', 51'). Captain Radhika also contributed significantly with four goals (17', 24', 27', 32'). Jyoti (7', 59'), Vishakha (13'), and Bharti (21') rounded out the scoring.

Following this, Ritu Rani Hockey Academy secured an 8-1 victory over Hockey Family Badhkhalsa NCR Hockey Society. Aishmeen Kaur (31', 34', 53', 58'), Dilpreet Kaur (2', 38'), Captain Prabhjot Kaur (17'), and Harshdeep Kaur (36') were the goal scorers, while Palak (19') netted the only goal for the opposition.

Pool D: R K Roy and Khalsa Hockey Academy Victorious

In Pool D, R K Roy Hockey Academy narrowly defeated Raja Karan Hockey Academy with a score of 2-1. Goals were scored by Riya Gaud (23') and Princi Yadav (35'), while Yogita (25') found the net for Raja Karan.

In another Pool D match, Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) won against Markandeshwar Hockey Academy with a score of 2-0, thanks to a brace from Captain Jashandeep Kaur (28', 38').
