New Delhi: Former cricketer-actor Yograj Singh father of Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh recently opened up about the wounds he had harbored for years. Family breakdown separation and a long emotional battle have shaken him to the core. He now openly explains how the breakdown of relationships brought his life to a point where loneliness became his only companion.
First breakup: When his first wife and son left home
Yograj Singh says that the biggest blow of his life came when his first wife Shabnam and son Yuvraj separated from him. It was as if his entire world had fallen apart. He says that on that day the course of his life changed forever.
Second family also disintegrated further deepening the emptiness
After the breakdown of his first relationship Yograj remarried and welcomed children. But over time this family also drifted away from him. He explains that after his family broke up for the second time whatever support he had left was gone and he returned to loneliness.
Cricket and cinema provided support but the emotional void remained unfilled
In an interview Yograj explained that the cricket field and the world of films certainly gave him direction but they never filled the void in his heart. He stated clearly that life repeatedly brings him back to the same cycle of pain—where relationships are lost and only questions remain.
Today’s truth: A lonely life low expectations and only prayers for support
Yograj explains that today he has no family member in his life. Even his household staff has abandoned him. Sometimes he spends his days hoping that some stranger will give him food. Despite this he doesnt blame anyone—he simply asks that no expectations be placed on him.
He admits that he is now completely emotionally exhausted. In his own words “I am ready to die.” Still he says that every new day is a gift from God and that prayer gives him the strength to carry on.
