New Delhi: After the announcement of all the released and retained player on Saturday all eyes are on Ravindra Jadeja. The Indian all-rounder a long-time pillar of Chennai Super Kings has officially joined the Rajasthan Royals. The move marks the end of an era as Jadeja has been part of CSK since 2012 barring the two seasons when the team was suspended. The past few seasons have been quite unstable for Jadeja. He was made captain then removed from the position and even dealt with uneven responses from the Chennai crowd who often cheered louder when MS Dhoni walked in to bat. Through it all Jadeja is now set for for a fresh start a feeling that former India head coach Ravi Shastri also acknowledges. Ravi Shastri breaks silence on real reason behind Jadejas exit In Jadejas opening over of Indias Test against South Africa at Eden Gardens commentator Harsha Bhogle wondered if the off-field buzz had impacted his mindset. Shastri put an end to all the speculation stressing that a cricketer of Jadejas quality understands how to stay locked in on the game. Shastri said The discussions are mostly for those on the outside. They are curious about his next destination and his earnings. Jadeja has always known where he is heading. He has been very clear and focused on cricket. All the external noise is irrelevant. In India there is always noise. You know what you want and what is coming. He is extremely experienced and a top-class cricketer. His performances in England speak for themselves with over 500 runs in the series.
