The mini-auction for IPL 2026 will be held on December 16 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The BCCI stated in a press release that all 10 teams have retained a total of 173 players, including 49 foreign players and some traded players. The 10 teams have 77 remaining slots for the IPL 2026 mini-auction. The combined purse of all franchises is ₹237.55 crore.

Venkatesh Iyer, who sold for approximately ₹24 crore (240 million rupees), is also part of this year's auction. Star all-rounder Andre Russell is also in the auction.
