New Delhi: In the Elite Group C match of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy at the Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Rohtak Armys left-arm spinner Amit Shukla produced a stunning performance. From taking five wickets in his first four overs to taking a total of eight wickets in the entire innings this spell became the best bowling performance by an Army bowler in Ranji Trophy history.

Amit Shukla took five wickets in his first four overs without conceding a single run. His line length and precise control completely disrupted the Haryana batting line-up.

In his 20-over spell he bowled eight maidens and took eight wickets for just 27 runs. This performance is the best ever by an Army bowler in the Ranji Trophy breaking a record that had stood since 1949.
