Remarkable Achievements by Janvi Jindal

Janvi Jindal, an 18-year-old from Chandigarh, has recently added six new Guinness World Records to her impressive collection in freestyle skating. This achievement makes her the first Indian female to hold a total of 11 Guinness World Records. Previously, she had five records, and the latest confirmations were received last week in November for various categories, including the most 360-degree rotations on inline skates in 30 seconds and one minute, as well as the most one-wheeled 360-degree rotations in 30 seconds.

Recognition from Local Authorities

In July 2025, Janvi had already secured five Guinness titles in different freestyle skating categories. Her recent accomplishments have positioned her as the second-highest Guinness World Records holder in India, following cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who holds 19 records. This remarkable feat was achieved when Janvi was just 17 years old, as reported by Chandigarh University.

Janvi, along with her father Munish Jindal, met with Member of Parliament and Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Satnam Singh Sandhu, who congratulated her on her outstanding achievements. He encouraged her to pursue her sporting dreams and presented her with a cash award of Rs 11,000, along with an offer for admission to Chandigarh University under a sports scholarship.

Future Aspirations of a Self-Taught Skater

Currently in 12th grade at a government school in Chandigarh, Janvi has taught herself freestyle skating with guidance from her father and online resources. When asked about her future, she expressed her ambition to continue breaking records and inspiring young athletes. Janvi has already won three gold, three bronze, and two silver medals at national skating championships and is gearing up for an upcoming national event.

She stated, "I aim to set more world records and motivate young athletes to pursue their dreams, regardless of their circumstances. I want to leverage social media to inspire others and share my journey. For international competitions, having access to professional coaching and support is crucial, and I believe I can bring more medals home for my country with that assistance."

A Father's Pride and Inspiration

Munish Jindal, Janvi's father, expressed immense pride in her achievements, stating, "This is a proud moment for our family and the nation, as our daughter has made history by holding 11 Guinness World Records at just 17. Inspired by the film Dangal, I wanted her to excel in sports. At the age of 8, she bravely jumped from a height of 30 feet into a river three times, showcasing her courage and determination."

He continued, "Janvi's journey is remarkable as she has achieved this without formal coaching or financial backing. She utilized online resources to train herself, proving that knowledge is accessible to those who are passionate about their goals."

Summary of Previous Records

Earlier this year, Janvi received recognition for five records, including the most 360-degree rotations on inline skates in 30 seconds (27 spins), the fastest slalom on two wheels (20 cones) in 8.85 seconds, and the most consecutive one-wheeled 360-degree spins (22 spins).
